happy winter soltice

early this morning (around 1am EST) the lunar eclipse began and peaked at around 3:17am...

today also marks the winter soltice and these two events occur on the same night/day on very rare occasions (the last time was 1638 and the next one is 2094!) so happy lunar eclipse and happy winter soltice!

baths, blue super stars, and etude II....

i never used to be a 'bath person', always was a shower person really...and one is usually one or the other, some say you must take sides...but recently, for some unknown reason, i've started to find i have a love of baths...though fear not showers, i have not forsaken you nor will i ever....now, if only someday i can have a bathtub where my whole body fits in!, because tiny new york/brooklyn bathrooms are not equipped for such a thing....
