Home

'Home' by Yann Arthus-Bertrand is one of the most beautiful films I've seen, though sadly it is also one of the most horrifying for mankind.
It is something that every person should watch.

20% is using 80% of the worlds resources

5,000 people dies every day of poison water

1 Billion people live under the poverty line

Every year, 13 Million hectar of forest is being cut down

Species are dying 1000 times faster than the natural rate

The ice cap is 40% thinner than 40 years ago

There may be 200 Million refugees around the world by 2050 affected by the climate

The human population has tripled since the 50s to 5,5 billion people

The North Pole and Greenland faces melting of the ice and glaciers which will bring 7 meters higher in water around the globe (counting Greenland alone).

Life has been around for 4 million years on this planet. Humans have only been here for 200,000 years and the strongest impacts and extinctions have been going on since the beginning of the 1900.
