Koyu Abe + sunflowers
Koyu Abe, chief monk at the Buddhist Joenji Temple, has distributed at least 8 million sunflowers to soak up toxins from the soil in Fukushima. “It is said that Sunflowers can remove 95% of the radiation in soil in 20 days.”

The historical five-storey palace was built by Yemen’s ruler Imam Mansour Ali Bin Mehdi Abbas in 1786 AD. In the 1930s, the late Yemeni monarch Imam Yahya Hameed Al-Din added the upper story and annexes and used it as his summer residence.
