(i took the above pictures a few months ago, this past spring)

port jeffereson, to and fro

on saturday we sailed to port jefferson, ny (sailing from CT, it is a straight shot across long island sound) and it was a magnificent summer (like) day....that night we met a couple who have sailed around the world (and plan to do it again) and the moon, though was two nights post full, still had the same radiance....on sunday we awoke to a much more fall (like) day, which carried with it its own beauty of cool strong wind, sand dunes, and pensive skies....

last weekend...

last weekend jeff, my mom, my dad (featured in the last two pictures!), and i went down to the empty beach in CT right before a storm and it was beautiful with looming ever morphing clouds and a cool salty breeze.
